Our story

An idea fifteen years in the making

One Tap didn't start in 2026. The problem it solves has been nagging at us since 2010 — it just took the technology catching up to make it possible.

2010
The first attempt

WebWarranty

The original idea was called WebWarranty — a service that would digitise purchase warranties and receipts so consumers would never lose proof of purchase again. The problem was real: people lost receipts, warranties expired without anyone noticing, and there was no central record of what you'd bought.

WebWarranty never launched. In 2010, the infrastructure wasn't there — contactless payments were nascent, smartphones weren't universal, and the idea of a card that could communicate with a cloud service in real time was ahead of what was practical to build. The idea was shelved, but not forgotten.

2010 → 2026

What changed

  • Contactless payments became universal
  • Virtual card issuance APIs made fintech accessible
  • POS terminals standardised webhook integrations
  • ATO digitalised GST requirements and reporting
  • Real-time payment networks made instant delivery possible
2026
Now

One Tap

The same core insight from WebWarranty — that purchase documentation should be automatic, not manual — rebuilt from scratch with the technology that exists today. Virtual Mastercard. Merchant POS integration. ATO-compliant tax invoices. Real-time delivery.

What couldn't be built in 2010 is now the product.

The problem

Australians spend millions of hours a year managing expenses that should manage themselves.

Between shoebox receipts, PDF invoices buried in email, and end-of-month scrambles before BAS lodgement — the admin overhead of simply spending money at work is absurd. Existing cards do nothing to fix it.

Our answer

A Mastercard that generates the invoice for you, at the point of payment.

One Tap is a virtual Mastercard with invoice generation built into every transaction. When you tap at an integrated merchant, a fully itemised ATO-compliant tax invoice lands in your wallet instantly — no action required.

What we stand for

Receipts should be automatic

Nobody should have to chase a receipt, photograph a docket, or manually enter expenses. The moment you tap to pay, the invoice should already be waiting.

Built for Australian compliance

Every invoice One Tap generates meets ATO tax invoice requirements — ABN, GST breakdown, supplier details, and full line items included as standard.

Merchants as partners

One Tap works with merchants, not around them. Terminal integration is how invoices get their detail — we're onboarding providers starting with Square, with more to follow.

Privacy by design

Your transaction data is yours. We collect only what is needed to deliver your invoices, comply with Australian law, and keep the service secure.

Where we are

Sandbox validated. Now raising.

End-to-end testing is complete — One Tap can issue a card, process a payment, and deliver a fully itemised tax invoice in real time. We're now raising our seed round and onboarding our first merchants ahead of public launch.
