AML & KYC Policy

1. Our obligations
One Tap is subject to the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) (AML/CTF Act). We are committed to preventing our platform from being used for money laundering, terrorism financing, or any other financial crime.
2. Identity verification (KYC)
Before issuing a card, we verify your identity using Sumsub, an accredited identity verification provider. You will be required to provide:
- Full legal name and date of birth
- Residential address
- A government-issued photo ID (passport or driver licence)
- A liveness check (facial biometric)
We do not store your identity documents. They are processed and retained by Sumsub in accordance with their privacy policy and our contractual obligations.
3. Ongoing monitoring
We monitor transactions on an ongoing basis for unusual or suspicious activity. This includes unusual transaction volumes, transactions inconsistent with your account profile, and activity that may indicate sanctions violations.
4. Suspicious matter reporting
Where we identify suspicious activity, we are required to submit a Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) to AUSTRAC. We are legally prohibited from disclosing to you that an SMR has been filed.
5. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if we are unable to verify your identity, if you provide false or misleading information, or if we identify activity that may breach our AML/CTF obligations. We will comply with any directions from AUSTRAC or law enforcement.
